Our coffee from Indonesia is grown in the Bali province. Farmers in Kintamani, Bali, historically grew citrus but recently began intercropping coffee among citrus trees. Due to its newer coffee-growing area, the coffee here is usually produced in small-batch quantities. Despite the limited scale of production, the coffee here is among Asia's best as the coffee plants take full advantage of Kintamani's rich volcanic soil.

Process-type: Semi-washed.

Roaster's Note: Semi-washed coffee is when only the outer skin of the cherries is removed, leaving some mucilage (coffee honey) to remain on the bean. The coffee honey leaves high concentrations of sugars, amino acids, and organic flavor compounds that diffuse into the bean, resulting in a heavier body and syrupy sweetness.
